1. Purpose & Scope
These Terms of Sale (the “Terms”) govern every purchase of Stono Outdoor Living Co. ("Stono Outdoor Living Co.," "we," "our,” or "us") outdoor kitchen islands, fire tables, and grill carts (the “Products”) made through our website, stonooutdoor.com (the “Site”). By placing an order, the purchaser ("Customer," "you," or "your") agrees to be bound by these Terms as well as the representations contained in the Customer Acknowledgment below.
For general terms and conditions governing use of the Site, please refer to our Terms of Service.
2. Customer Acknowledgment
By completing checkout, you confirm and agree that:
-
Specs & Fit. You have reviewed all dimensions, material selections, utility rough‑in requirements, and site conditions and verified that the Products will fit, function, and comply with local building, fire‑safety, and zoning codes at the installation site.
-
Design Confirmation. For any custom drawings or renderings supplied by Stono Outdoor Living Co., you have provided written approval of the final design, including appliance cut‑outs, finishes, and accessory locations.
-
Utility Connections. Gas, water, and/or electrical hook‑ups will be performed by licensed professionals after delivery. Stono Outdoor Living Co. is not responsible for on‑site utility work.
-
Finish Color Matching. We strive to match our powder-coated finishes as closely as possible to our published color samples. However, slight differences may occur between paint batches provided by our suppliers and are not considered defects.
-
Lead Times. Published lead times are estimates only and are subject to change. Lead times begin once design approval and full payment are received. Deliveries may ship before or after the estimated ship date.
-
Non‑Returnable. Because Products are made‑to‑order, orders may not be cancelled or returned once fabrication begins (see §10).
-
Adult Signature. An adult (18+) must be present to inspect and sign for the delivery.
-
Risk of Loss. Title transfers to you upon shipment. However, Stono Outdoor Living Co. will assist in filing freight claims and coordinating replacement parts in the event of shipping damage, provided such damage is properly documented at delivery (see Inspection below).
-
Acceptance of Terms. You have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in their entirety.
3. Pricing & Payment
Prices shown on the Site are in U.S. dollars and, unless stated otherwise, exclude taxes, shipping, and installation. Full payment is due upon order placement. Outstanding balances must be paid in full before shipment. We accept the payment methods displayed on the Site.
4. Appliance Sales
Appliances sold through Stono Outdoor Living Co. may be subject to different shipping procedures, lead times, and warranty terms than our outdoor kitchen islands, fire tables, and grill carts. In some cases, Stono Outdoor Living Co. will submit appliance warranty paperwork on your behalf; in others, the appliance manufacturer may require direct registration by the customer. We will notify you of any required action based on the manufacturer’s policy.
All appliance warranty coverage is governed solely by the appliance manufacturer. Stono Outdoor Living Co. does not provide warranty service for appliances. For appliance-related claims or service, please refer to the warranty documentation provided with your appliance or contact the manufacturer directly.
5. Taxes
You are responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, duties, or fees arising out of the sale, unless you provide a valid exemption certificate.
6. Shipping, Delivery & Title
-
Method. Products ship FOB Origin from our warehouse via common carrier on pallets. Lift‑gate service is included unless noted.
-
Impracticable Locations. Occasionally, LTL freight carriers are unable to complete delivery to certain properties due to size restrictions, limited access, or unsafe site conditions. Common issues include narrow roads, low-hanging trees or power lines, bridges, gravel or dirt driveways, or other physical limitations. The standard LTL truck dimensions are 26' long and 13'4" tall for straight trucks with liftgates, and 53' long and 13'4" tall for semi-trailers. If your delivery location includes any known restrictions or clearance issues, please notify us during the ordering process so we can note them for the carrier.
-
Access Requirements. If a dock or forklift is not available, a liftgate is required. Oversized freight may require additional manpower or equipment to assist with offloading. While standard LTL delivery is curbside, drivers may attempt to get closer if conditions are safe—but they may decline if access is unsafe.
-
Alternative Solutions. If your delivery location proves to be impracticable, we offer the following options:
-
Pickup at the carrier’s terminal — no charge
-
Delivery at the end of the street or nearby accessible location — no charge
-
Delivery to an alternate address that can accept the freight — may incur extra charges
-
Delivery using specialized equipment (intercept) — may incur extra charges
Please help us plan for a smooth delivery by communicating any known access challenges in advance.
-
-
Inspection. Inspect all pallets for visible damage before signing the bill of lading. Note any damage on the carrier’s paperwork and photograph it.
-
Title & Risk of Loss. Title transfers to the Customer upon shipment. However, Stono Outdoor Living Co. will assist in filing freight claims and coordinating replacement parts in the event of shipping damage, provided such damage is properly documented at delivery.
-
Storage Fees. Orders may be completed and shipped before the estimated ship date. Deliveries are scheduled based on production completion and cannot be held once ready to ship. If the customer is unable to accept delivery more than 14 days before or more than 14 days after the estimated ship date — whether because the order is finished early or the site is not ready — the customer will be responsible for any storage fees, redelivery fees, or damages resulting from extended storage.
7. Inspection & Acceptance
You must notify us in writing of any non‑conformity within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery. Failure to do so constitutes acceptance of the Products.
8. Cancellations & Returns
Because Products are custom‑built, all sales are final once fabrication begins. Prior to fabrication, an order may be cancelled subject to a 15 % cancellation fee to cover administrative and engineering costs.
9. Limited Warranty
Stono Outdoor Living Co. warrants to the original purchaser that the structural and metal/aluminum components of its outdoor kitchen islands will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years, and the applied finish will be free from defects for a period of three (3) years, from the original date of retail sale.
Limitations & Exclusions:
-
Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
-
Does not cover damage from transportation, installation errors, accidents, alterations, misuse, high heat exposure, or failure to follow care and maintenance instructions.
-
Normal wear and tear, discoloration due to environmental exposure, and minor scratches are not covered.
-
Warranty does not include labor, removal, reinstallation, or shipping costs.
