Shipping & Delivery Information

At Stono Outdoor Living Co., we’re committed to making the delivery of your outdoor kitchen smooth, transparent, and on time.


Free Curbside Shipping

Orders of $1,699 or more ship free within the contiguous U.S.

  • Smaller items ship via USPS, UPS, or FedEx

  • Larger items ship via LTL freight with curbside delivery

We reserve the right to cancel or adjust any order due to impractical shipping costs.


Production Time

Outdoor kitchen islands are built to order and require 20–30 business days to produce.

  • Orders placed Monday through Friday are typically processed the same day

  • Orders placed on weekends are processed the next business day

You will receive an order confirmation email once your order is placed and payment is processed.


Split Shipments

Some orders may ship in multiple deliveries. Appliances typically ship first, followed by custom cabinetry or island components. You’ll receive tracking information for each separate shipment.


Freight Delivery & Site Accessibility

Most larger items ship via third-party freight carriers. A valid phone number is required at checkout so the carrier can call to schedule your delivery.

All freight deliveries are curbside only. This means the carrier will unload your shipment at the curb, driveway, or nearest safe location—not indoors or to the backyard. It is the customer’s responsibility to move products from the curb to their final installation site. Please have help available for unloading heavy or bulky items.

Delivery Access Requirements

Occasionally, freight carriers are unable to reach certain delivery locations due to size or safety restrictions. Common limitations include:

  • Narrow roads or sharp turns

  • Low-hanging branches or power lines

  • Bridges with weight limits

  • Gravel, steep, or unpaved driveways

  • Inaccessible or unsafe surfaces

Typical truck dimensions:

  • Straight truck with liftgate: 26’ long, 13’4” tall

  • Semi-trailer: 53’ long, 13’4” tall

If your delivery location includes any known access challenges, please notify us at the time of ordering so we can inform the freight carrier and plan accordingly.

If a loading dock or forklift is not available, a liftgate will be required. Oversized freight may require additional manpower or equipment for unloading. While drivers may attempt to get closer than curbside if conditions allow, they may refuse if access is restricted or unsafe.

Alternate Delivery Options

If your delivery location proves impractical or inaccessible, we offer the following alternatives:

  • Pickup at the carrier’s local terminal — no charge

  • Delivery to the end of the street or nearby accessible location — no charge

  • Delivery to an alternate address that can accept freight — may incur additional fees

  • Delivery with specialized equipment (intercept) — may incur additional fees

Help us ensure a smooth delivery by communicating any known access issues in advance.


Missed, Refused, or Delayed Deliveries

If your delivery is refused, missed, or rescheduled outside of standard delivery attempts, additional charges may apply. In some cases, orders may be canceled and restocking fees applied.


Inspecting Your Shipment

Please inspect your shipment carefully before signing the delivery receipt.


Noted Damages

When your delivery arrives, inspect the palletized goods for visible damage such as:

  • Torn or missing shrink wrap

  • Crushed cartons or corners

  • Broken or splintered pallet

  • Missing straps or security tape

  • Packages that appear to be restacked or resealed

Many delivery receipts include default statements like:
"Shrink wrap intact"
"Freight received in good condition unless otherwise noted"

If these statements do not accurately reflect what you see, cross them out and write your own notes about the condition. Do this on both your copy and the driver's copy of the receipt. If possible, take a photo of the signed paperwork showing your notes.

Drivers may check boxes or sign on your behalf — it is your right to document the true condition.

Always photograph the shipment thoroughly before unpacking if damage is present or suspected.


Concealed Damages

If you are unable to unpack during delivery, please inspect all items within 48 hours of receipt. After this period, it becomes more difficult to submit a successful claim.

If you discover concealed damage:

  • Take detailed photos during and after unpacking

  • Retain all original packaging materials

  • Contact us at support@stonooutdoor.com or (877) 800‑6238 within 48 hours of delivery


Shipping Timeline

Once your order ships, most deliveries arrive within 5 business days. Transit time may vary depending on your location, carrier availability, and scheduling. You’ll receive tracking information via email for each shipment.
